Methods to Double Your Weight Loss

So you have decided on your weight loss program and you are excited and ready to get started, anticipating how you will look in your smaller sized clothes and how great you will feel. Choose the methods that are right for you to kick your weight loss program into high gear:

- If you are not currently using low fat or skim milk, switch to one of the two. This will cut calories and fat and you won't miss them.

- Eat at least two servings of your favorite fresh fruit every day. Fruit is filling and the sugar in the fruit can arrest cravings for sweets.

- Have at least one meatless lunch and dinner each week to reduce fat. Also not having a meat entre helps you to build your meals more around vegetables and whole grains.

- Cut your sugar snacks down to three or four times a week maximum.

- Do not eat in front of the television. Studies have proven that not only do we eat larger portions when in front of the tv, we also tend to select foods higher in sugar and fat.

- Use the half method. Half your fat intake. Use half as much butter, half the oil you would normally use to cook, half the mayonnaise you put on your sandwich, and half the peanut butter you would normally use are good examples.

- Choose good sources of proteins for your meals such as fish, cottage cheese, eggs, chicken, legumes or yogurt are all good selections.

- Have two servings of vegetables with lunch and dinner each. This will help to cut down on higher fat food portions such as red meat.

- Include one or two portions of foods made from whole grains with every meal.

When you are on a weight loss program, it is always a good idea to plan your meals ahead of time so you have an organized approach and are less likely to slip when you are stuck with an unplanned, last minute decision.

These extra steps in conjunction with your diet program will put you on the fast track to your weight loss goals, and you can lose the weight in record time.

1. Use cold water for 20 seconds in the shower

Is this not a perfect time to exercise? I'll answer that for you. IT IS. All I ask of you is to take 2 commercial breaks and do as many bodyweight squats as you can do as fast as possible. Here are some fat loss tricks to help you acclerate your weight loss and or push past a plateau. If you think working out a lot and cutting calories is the best way to lose weight, YOU'RE WRONG. I'm going to help you get on the right track so you don't waste your time, money, or energy doing things that barely help or actually hurt you. These weight loss tricks should help just about anyone.

Fat Loss Tricks

1. Only drink your liquids when you're not eating anything

REASON: If you drink anything while eating, it's going to be poorly digested due to the liquid washing out and diluting your mouth and esophagus enzymes. Those enzymes need a dry environment to break down foods as they transit to your stomach. So avoid liquids while eating whenever possible.

2. Use raw fruits and vegetables before AND after meals

Why? Because they have enzymes. As you can see, enzymes are a big deal to me. A lot of people have horrible Digestive Systems that are clogged up and taking forever for foods to exit your body. If you were to eat something like an apple a few minutes before a meal and a banana a couple minutes after the meal, this will help with breaking down foods into easier to handle, smaller pieces.

3. Rub your belly after you eat

I'm not joking! With 1 of your hands, just rub small circles over your belly. This stimulates better digestion. Do this for 1-3 minutes after each meal you have.

I know this list of 3 things isn't comprehensive. I don't want to overload you with things to do. All I ask is that you try out these 3 fat loss tricks for the next week or 2 and see how it goes, that's it.

Stress Isn't Good For Weight Loss Or Anything

I've been reading a lot of blog posts lately about how people are eating all the right foods and the right proportions but are not losing weight or even still gaining weight. There is a lot of reasons this could be happening, but when I look closer into the lives of these people I can see the probable reason. It's scientific name is STRESS.

Your body is an incredible machine. When your body feels a change from the ordinary it goes into defense mode. Your Adrenal Glans start producing the hormone cortisol. It is needed for regulating blood sugar, energy production, inflammation, the immune system and healing.

If you introduce stress, your adrenal glans will elevate your cortisol level. Any type of stress will do that. It could be stress from work, the TV you watch like the news, the environment you live in, or even the foods or lack of certain foods you eat.

A high level of cortisol will more than likely lead to weight gain among other things, I'll get to those in a moment.

This is also why so many weight loss plans or diets fail. It's because you are fighting against your adrenal glans that are releasing high levels of cortisol, which usually end up going strait to your abdominal area. You need to work with your body and feed it everything it needs, all the proper foods and keep it fed. Eating small meals and snacks of good healthy food all day long works well. It is the only kind of weight loss plan or diet that seems to work long term without any health risk. In other words, "Healthy Weight Loss".

The other problems with a high level of cortisol are that it slows down your metabolism. Your immune system is also suppressed which can cause all kinds of problem and makes you prone to many illnesses. The stomach lining becomes thin which could cause stomach ulcers. It will cause your blood sugars to rise and digestion to slow.

Are you starting to get the picture? Stress causes problems.

It turns into a vicious cycle, stress causes problems that cause more stress, which leads to bigger problems and so on.

The health problems that stress ultimately lead to are numerous. Weight gain is only the tip of the iceberg. Where it adds the weight is what could be the killer.

The only way to avoid costly future visits to the doctor and hospital are to figure out how to lower your stress level and get on a healthy weight loss plan, even if you are not overweight. A healthy weight loss plan will teach you a lot about nutrition.

So learn to relax more. Listen to some soothing music. Take up yoga or meditation. Take a walk or jog by yourself and brainstorm some ideas that will lead to happiness. Find you own little sanctuary where you can sit or lay alone quietly. Learn not to sweat the little things. Nothing is so major that you can't think of a solution. Most of the things we stress over turn out to be minor and the solution most of the time leads to a better way of life.
